"With drums inspired by Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel", I decided to take a different approach for this track. It was September when I worked on this, I hadn't dropped anything since June. Working with different instruments on Ableton, I combined detuned keys and hard drums to bring you "Portra 400", a song about wanting someone back that can only be found in old photographs.
This track also marks a new era for me as an artist, isolating myself from the typical indie, reverb washed stereotype. At the young age of 17 going on 18, this track marks the end of my teenage years."
