Baywaves

Baywaves draw on influences as far apart as the Psychemagik and Too Slow to Disco compilation series, filtering them through Brazilian rhythms and more mainstream reference points like Hall and Oates, and combining The Avalanches with The Stone Roses. Their sound is a small solar system in which planets of funk, psych, pop, electronica and hip-hop orbit a garage band set-up, calling to mind The Internet, Thundercat and Kali Uchis on one side and Stereolab and BADBADNOTGOOD on the other. They have toured Europe and the USA, and their debut album is due by the end of 2021.
