Saturday, The Observer’s Sean O’Hagan posted a pair of articles curated for those who are deeply steeped in the legend of Nick Cave.

OneNick Cave: from Birthday Party boy to Bad Seed and beyond- starts off as a first-hand account of meeting Cave in 1989 and follows with a limited reaction to Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollards new film, 20,000 Days On Earth, which revolves around Cave’s 20,000th day on the planet. While it is billed as a fictitious account, in actuality the film seems to be honest at its heart- an artistic 24-hour account of his life as Cave deals with his biggest fears and gives his thoughts on performing.

The second article, Nick Cave's career - in pictures, contains 10 iconic photographs from over the course of the mystical musician’s life featured in Bleddyn Butcher’s A Little History: Photographs of Nick Cave & Cohorts 1981-2013. In case you don’t have it yet, you can buy it from the publisher or through The Guardian.

20,000 Days On Earth is due out September 17th and 19th in the US and UK, respectively. Watch the trailer below:
