Tango in the Attic - "Paw Prints"
Written by Matt Adler
It's kind of strange how some things work.
A few nights ago, I found myself revisiting some older, more underrated albums from the past few years. After much digging, I settled on Tango in the Attic's 2010 standout Scottish surf-pop album Bank Place Locomotive Blues. I spent the next hour or so ruminating on whether or not we will ever hear anything from them again.
And then, much to my surprise, I wake up this morning and roll over to be greeted by a new Tango in the Attic track --- Paw Prints ---- off their upcoming sophomore album Sellotape.
The four-piece from Glenrothes seemed to have ditch the coastal-themes and have went definitively more noisier. It's this raucous burst of anthemic energy that is as catchy as it is frenetic. A quick few plays on Paw Prints and I can't help but hear some massive influence from Los Campesinos.
Give a listen to Paw Prints down below. Sellotape is due out April 23rd on Believe Digital.
