Aloha

Aloha is an indie rock band currently signed to Polyvinyl Records that is largely based across the East Coast. The band started in the summor of 1997 in Bowling Green, OH and was able to land a record deal based on a demo tape. Aloha currently consists of Cale Parks, Matthew Gengler, Tony Cavallario, and T.J. Lipple (Who joined the band in late 2002).

The band has a very focused approach to making music and a wide host of tools they use including marimba, homemade mellotrons, organs, and tape manipulations. In the now, Aloha operates out of several different locations including, Chicago, D.C., Cleveland, Cincinnati, Rochester, Pittsburgh, and Altoona, PA. Extensive touring has made Aloha renowned for their intense, non-stop live shows as well as their homemade T-shirts and self-reliant ethic. They have shared the stage with the likes of Q and Not U, Ted Leo, Clinic, as well as Cex and Joan of Arc, two bands in which Cale Parks has been a member.

Aloha is set to release thier latest works, 'Home Acres' on March 9th, 2010. Take a look at the first single off that release below, 'Moonless March'.
