Orca Orca is the solo pop project of Jimmy Hewitt from Allston, MA that began in September 2011. The recordings consist of vintage drum machines, jangly guitars, echoed vocals and the occasional synthesizer. Live shows also include Darin Thompson (guitar), Justin Mantell (bass) and Ben Husk (drums).
Formerly under the moniker Young Minds, Hewitt’s melody-driven guitar pop has seen praise from The Fader, Prefix Magazine, The Boston Phoenix, and countless blogs that has lead to the group sharing stages with Beach Fossils, Tennis, Porcelain Raft, Yellow Ostritch, Little Red + more.
